(FOLSOM, CA) FEBRUARY 16, 2023 – The National Network of Reporting Companies (NNRC), a coalition of independent court reporting companies spread across the United States, Canada and Europe, has launched a new campaign to raise awareness within the legal community about the services its member companies offer. As legal professionals increasingly move toward holding more remote legal proceedings, NNRC member companies can assist with remote depositions in the United States and elsewhere.

According to U.S. Legal Support’s 2022 Litigation Support Trends Survey, a sizeable percentage of respondents expect the use of remote legal proceedings to expand in 2023. 27% of lawyers who responded to the survey expect an increase this year in the use of use of virtual mediations, arbitrations, and trials, continuing a trend that began with virtual depositions. The same survey found that 70% of depositions are handled remotely nowadays. The court reporting companies of the NNRC provide legal clients with the technology they need to participate in remote legal proceedings, including videoconferencing, internet streaming and more. With locations across the country, NNRC’s member companies can help to schedule and arrange remote depositions with witnesses all over America, or in one’s own city.

The NNRC helps lawyers coordinate legal support services when their work takes them out of their regions. For example, if a lawyer needs to try a case in San Diego, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco or San Jose, for example, the NNRC can help him or her locate top court reporters in California at one of the network’s affiliates in the Golden State.

Look for blog posts and press releases about the NNRC and its member companies on various websites and blogs over the next few months. These posts and press releases will publicize and promote the wide range of legal support services that the network and its court reporters perform for law firms and attorneys across the United States and abroad.
